Song is: R.E.M. - Imitation Of Life - Click or use arrow keys to view the three trim levels of the Galaxy, and a recreation of my family's car. - Although the Galaxy wasn't as luxurious or plush as a similar MPV like the Renault Espace, it was marketed as a large executive car with some extra seats. And to be fair, it arguably deserves that title. Mass amounts of legroom, luxury car features (on the Ghia, at least), an elegant interior and exterior, all typical of a large executive saloon like a Scorpio or Omega. The Galaxy was our family car from 2010/11 to early 2017, and I really miss it. The Galaxy is the reason I like the cars I do, without it I don't know what I'd be into. It was a 2003 (52) Galaxy LX 1.9 TDi with 115bhp. It was a base model but by no means basic, I always thought it was a higher trim level, but the only extra interior features it had was a CD player installed by a previous owner. Someone (I suspect the same person) had also mounted alloy wheels, mudflaps and a towbar - it really displayed to me that it was taken great care of. It was a bit more used and abused in our ownership, carrying my Dad's bike on the way to his work, and of course ferrying my family around, but it was still a very solid car, flying through most of its MOT's without issue. Sadly the owner my Dad sold it to incorrectly registered it and then scrapped it in 2019 - it's gone forever and there is no way of getting it back. At least the cherished memories live on.
