UPDATE 24/12/2021: The "Season's Greetings!" text has been given some extra flair by attaching bells & holly to the start and end letters! The order the letters appear in when playing the project is also scrambled a bit, due to this decoration blocking the 's' at the end of 'Greetings!' when in the correct order. ----- TRIVIA TIME ----- - This project began development in the afternoon of the 22nd of December, and was completed at noon on the 24th of December (Christmas Eve), so this project could be said to have been developed over 2.5 days. - This project was originally planned to have the characters all in the background having a snowball fight, but the time constraints compared to the scope of how much coding & costume designing it would need? I had to scrap that... - Ripley's Snowraccoon was actually originally sketched down on the same MS Paint drawing that introduced his current winter outfit. (versions earlier than when the outfit came to scratch had blue trousers instead of red) - Could it be that the Snowgecko and Snowraccoon are more alive than they seem to be? Eh, just a feeling. - The shape of Erny's present, a 10-sided decagon, was chosen by a random shape selector, since I didn't know what shape to make it myself. It's shape makes me think he may be introducing a currency of sorts to that strange ERNY LAND ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/345738835/ ). - At one point while making Amir's pose, I realised something that I don't know how to put into words... Then I tried drawing a beret on her, but it didn't look as good as berets do on Pat. - Stikwig's winter hat was based off of one that Cookie-Clicker Cam Cam, Stikwig's voice-actor, owns in real life. The real-life variation has the now-defunct Soviet Union's "hammer & sickle" symbol in place of the lucky 7 Stikwig has. - As stated in the Notes & Credits, every ornament on the 2021 Christmas tree is related to a notable project/event that happened this year, with the more recent projects/events being lower down on the tree. See if you can identify what every single ornament represents!
It's the most wonderful time of the year once more! At the bitter end of 2021, I've decided that I won't just use my 2017 Christmas project for the 5th time in a row ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/195226884/ ) and instead deck the halls with something new. On the account of being in a fictional version of the usually snow-less UK, snow was coating Pistachio Park in a thick white blanket, so Walburt and Ripley decided to head there for some winter fun. Little did they expect to join in with some stickmen who had driven in to Sherbetton from elsewhere, to escape a violent hailstorm & set up a festive Christmas card for you all! I (Paul) took a page out of @ZYellow's book with decorating a Christmas tree with ornaments themed after Burgnew's most popular & notable projects/events of 2021, and we managed to get it done even when Erny fell on top of the tree - yep, both times. Ripley made a Snowraccoon that looks like him, inspiring Walburt to do the same & make a Snowgecko. Finally, me, Erny, Amira and Stikwig decided to pose with some presents we had received early for the final festive card you see here (don't worry, we'll only open them on christmas day)! Thomas and Franky would've joined in, hadn't they wanted to toboggan down the highest peaks; hope they don't bump their noggins! Well, it goes without saying now. Since this was shared on Christmas Eve, making Christmas super nearly here, I guess I should just say it now anyway. MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Peace & goodwill will bless y'all!
