You just happen to be a Sandwing and get to choose what queen you want: Blister, Blaze or Burn. You begin at your den where the rules are explained. Starting on day 2, you train with the general either at your den or at the stronghold. Eventually, you will become a soldier. Don't forget to explore If you are on Blister or Blaze's side, don't go near Burn's stronghold (the building to the left of the den entry). If you do, you will be caught and put into prison.
