This is a project that teaches you Morse code. Morse code is a series of dots and dashes to make up letters, and then words (dots being small sounds, dashes being longer dots). Morse code was created in 1836 by a great guy named Samuel Morse. When Morse code was created (for the telegraph), it was a faster and more efficient way of communicating. Then the telephone was made. Even though Morse code and the telegraph was replaced by the telephone, the military of the US still uses Morse code to communicate. So the telegraph is one of the best ways (in my opinion) to communicate. By the way, you use one button instead of two to communicate with a real Telegraph transmitter.
