Original Share Date: Dec 11 2021 TRIGGERED: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/431010654/ Hello everyone, I don't have really anything to say for the beginning part, so let's check out why Super Mario Bros. S is MIND BLOWING! In 3, 2, 1! *warp pipe sound plays*
- I really love how the map system is just like 3D World's map system. You can move around freely instead of being stuck with the arrows like in SMB3, World or the NSMB games. - The gameplay engine feels nearly right out of the original, and it feels perfect. - Much like in SMB2 and 3D World, each character has their own special abilities. - There's also some great level design in some of the levels as well. - The sewer areas really remind me a lot of the Mario Bros arcade with the style of ground and the bridge design. - You can ride Yoshi in this game, that being one nice and obvious unique thing from the original SMB. - While the Koopalings are back, at least they are only in the tower levels rather than appearing in both the tower levels and the main castle levels. - I really love some of the original art pieces for this game. - (Not actually added in game yet) Joker's Mask? WHAT??? - Goomboss is in this game? Wow, fans really know how to make comebacks more than Nintendo does. - Eventually, you will also be able to swap over to the All-Stars mode. - I love the Toad Houses in this game. While not as interesting as the ones in SMB3 and NSMBWii, I still find it interesting to see them in some sort of SMB form. - The Super Leaf is back, and it works just like in SMB3. *TRANSITIONS TO SMMS* - The editor feels really nice and simple to use with the mouse. - I'm glad the menu selection is staying true to Mario Maker 1 rather than the annoying Mario Maker 2 one. - You can easily swap out characters at any time you want. It's so convenient! - L City? A reference to @Brad-Games' Super Mario for Scratch 4? - Also, you gotta love the 8-bit rendition of Moonview Highway from MKWii *TRANSITIONS TO SMBS:RTI* - I'm seeing a ton of references to SMB35, (Like the item roulette) and I'm loving it! - I love how the time is about to run out, and you have to try to keep the time at a balanced limit. There's also so many ways to gain more time. Well, I didn't have much to say there, because there really isn't that much I can say at the moment, as the game is currently still in long development. Anyways, I enjoyed my time playing through the current progress of this game. I hope more progress of this game will be as amazing as I want it to be. Oh and BTW, for you Nathaniel Bandy, Happy 1M Subscribers! Didn't take you too long to hit that many after hitting 100K back in 2017. Welp, that's all from me right now. Scratch On everybody!
