Description

Note: This is a work in progress! I would recommend reading these instructions if you have not played this game before. ----- When you first start the game ----- When you click the green flag, you won't immediately need to feed your horse or anything, but here's how. Click on the water pump to give your horse water. Click on hay bales and apples to eat. Click on the shovel to clean the hay and the brush to clean the horse. Click on the map to switch between your house, the horse stables and the store. ----- Cleanliness ----- Your cleanliness will go down over time, and you will need to change the hay and brush your horse every now and then. Buy a brush from the store and click on it when you get back to the horse stables. After a while, you'll need to buy some new hay, too. ------ Food ------ Apples replenish your hunger by three each, and hay by one each. Watch out, apples go stale after a while, so eat them while you can. ----- Thirst ----- Simple. Buy water from the store and click on the water pump every now and then. ----- Happiness and money ----- First, happiness. You will need to keep your horse happy. Go outside and play with toys to keep your happiness up. If your happiness is low, you will lose money, but if your horse's happiness is high, you will gain money. You start out with $20. My recommendation is to buy water, a brush, and a toy at the minimum when you first go to the store. ----- Other/Coming Soon ----- Coming Soon: After a while, you'll unlock new locations, games and other things. You'll be able to interact with other horses and if you are lucky, they might give you something! Salt licks may be expensive in the game, but worth it! It raises your horse's happiness and hunger levels, and if the happiness level is high enough, then you will get more money! I may add this thing you can buy from the store that is really expensive (in the game) (15 dollars+) but basically raises your horse's hunger, thirst and cleanliness levels to 10, for if they are very low. A little note about racing: Currently I just have it so that it picks random one to four to decide if your horse will win the race. It'll take me, say, another 30 minutes to an hour to make it so that depending on your horse's age (also coming soon) and speed, endurance and agility levels decide whether you'll win or not. Credits ----- Drawings: All me (except for most of the horse stables backdrop, the apple sprites, and the gray, tan, and black-and-white horses)) Sounds: Most are from the scratch library, but I give credit to kellwerks for the brushing and shoveling sounds. Idea: On this site called CoolMathGames, there's a game, Duck Life, where it is basically like a duck version of this--you feed the duck, train it, buy it cool stuff, etc. When I saw kellwerk's Virtual Horse project featured, I checked it out and got the idea to basically have something like a horse version of Duck Life but more complicated..or something...i don't know...something like that. ----- Glitches ----- I hid the volume sprite, since for some reason, even though I programmed it to say: when green flag clicked forever if costume # = 1 then set volume to 100% if costume # = 2 then set volume to 66% if costume # = 3 then set volume to 33% if costume # = 4 then set volume to 0 % it keeps glitching. Brush sprite is glitching (know how to fix it, I'll be doing so shortly) The petting thing has a glitch where if you are training/riding your horse, and you try to pet your horse, then you'll stop riding. If you know the solution, please comment it! Thanks! ----- Lol, I clicked the green flag, typed in a ton of stuff in the notes and credits and the instructions, worked on the project a bit, etc. and looked up...Money=20 Hunger= -57 (yes, negative fifty seven!) Thirst= -57.....etc....woah!
