Backstory: Once there was a lonley cat. She was a retired warrior and her husband had died in the battle, leaving her and her young daughter alone. Her daughter's name was Caelum. This brave she-cat was shamed on for giving up on the war. She was cast out of the village with her daughter. Knowing that her and Caelum would not survive, the she-cat sought out the old, wise owl. It took many weeks of starvation and lonliness, but they soon reached the forest where he lived. There, the owl said he could give the child wings so she could fly away and find a new life- but at a cost. The mother was pained and sorrowful to let her baby go, but she agreed. It was the best thing for Caelum right now- no child deserved a mother that could not supply for her children. The owl named the price- he would thake the kit's tail. The mother cried out, but he pushed her aside and used a forcefield to keep her away- she had already agreed to the deal. The poor she-cat clawed at the forcefield as wept as her kit lost the only distinguishable thing about her- her tail. Finally, the job was done. The owl had another item for his collection and the baby cat had a magnificent pair of wings. Next, the owl erased the mothers memory of ever having a child. The mother was confused as to where she was, but the owl came up with a formidable lie. "Your husband died in war." he said. "You were banished from your village and you are not far from a new one. Simply pass through these woods behind me." The she-cat did so, leaving behind her kit. She never remembered the kit. As for Caelum, she was raised by the owl. She had a happy life and was told her mother abandoned her. For this, Caelum hated the mother she never met for leaving her out in the woods all alone...
