Instructions

This is a story I'm starting about a middle school girl who keeps track of everyone in her school. But that's also a good tool for a detective. *** I watch the popular girls gossip, listening to what they have to say. "You'll never guess what I heard!" Jessica exclaimed. "Jack has a crush on Lily!" I look in my notebook. It's already there, in the chart keeping track of romantic relationships. A drawing of Jack with his name underneath has a line pointing to Lily with the word "Crush?". I'm an expert at keeping track of everyone at my school. I know all the eight graders, so a few months ago, I tried to do it with seventh and sixth graders. It's a bit harder, but I think I'm doing fine at keeping up with them. But the thing is, I don't really have any friends of my own. I really just observe people. Sometimes they ask me for some advice about somebody, but I don't usually talk to them. I gotta admit, most of my brain power at school goes into keeping track of everyone. Last week, a new student, Elizabeth, came to the school. She's hasn't talked to anyone, but I made her a little bio in my notebook. It has her full name, a drawing of her, and a bit of info. I don't really know much though, so the bio is a bit incomplete. ELIZABETH DRAKEN Friends: None? Crush: None Boyfriend: None General personality: Doesn't talk to anyone at school, Focuses on her schoolwork Harry Potter house: Unknown Interests: Art?, Playing the flute Favorite subject: Math? Other: New student Most kids have more info. Like Jessica Smith has a very full bio JESSICA SMITH Friends: Samantha(bestie), Megan, Ava L, Silvia, Emma G, Ellia, Ava M, Becky, Violet Crush: Marty? Boyfriend: Jason G Exes: Johnson, James, Josh, Jack, Jimmy General personality: Lead popular girl, gossips a lot, can never keep a boyfriend for more than a month Harry Potter house: Slytherin Interest: Gossip, Fashion, Ballet, Singing, Boys, Swimming Favorite subject: Art Other: Has a little sister, Grace, who's in 6th grade, Cousins with Emma G I even have bios of the teachers. KATE ANDERSON(Mrs. Anderson) Friends: Mrs. Hills, Ms. Jenners, Mr. Daulen Crush: None Husband: Mark Anderson General personality: Everyone's favorite teacher, gives candy to students for simply behaving, mildly quirky Harry Potter house: Ravenpuff Interests: Writing, Reading, Teaching, Being healthy, Giving out candy Favorite subject: ELA Other: 8th grade ELA teacher I think Mrs. Anderson is the reason why students get their teachers switched out when the semester changed, as everyone was complaining about not being in her class and not getting candy. But what they didn't know was that you could just ask for some during passing period. It just switched to the next semester yesterday, and all my teachers changed other than my P. E. teacher. I got Mrs. Anderson. I look at the time. Speaking of Mrs. Anderson, I need to get to her class, as passing period is almost over. The popular girls already left, so I run to her class. Everyone in talking about how happy they are to get Mrs. Anderson. It's only fair. The other ELA teacher is kinda mean and strict. I don't like her, and I'm glad I'll be in Mrs. Anderson's 1st period class for the rest of the year. Soon, I discover that this schedule change may not be the best idea. I got Mr. Chompkins for 3rd period math. I know he has a dumb name, but if you insult him, he will scream at you in front of the class. One the first day of school, Lucy made that mistake when she said, "Mr. Chompkins? That's a funny name." The news spread quickly through the entire eighth grade. Mr. Chompkins is also very strict about phones, and if you have yours out, he will take it away for the entire day. If you have a bad grade in math, he will take you in for private tutoring at lunch. And if you're caught insulting him, he will take you aside for a brief talk about respect, which I've heard is even worse than being yelled at. If you do it twice, he will send you to the office. He also insists on everyone acting professional, which most middle school boys are almost incapable of doing. I could go on and on, but basically this teacher is a nightmare, which is obvious when you look at his bio. JOHN CHOMPKINS Friends: Any other teacher Crush: None Wife: None General personality: Overly strict and terrifying, gives out too many punishments Harry Potter House: Slytherin Interests: Punishing students Favorite subject: Detention Other: Pray you don't get him The new student, Elizabeth, also got him, for 4th period, so when she walked into the classroom and I walked out, I whispered to her, "Don't say a word to him." I hope I helped her. I just hope I can survive 5 months in Mr. Chompkins's class. Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/612694001/
