The PLTW Launch team remixed this computer model, originally created by @buffon1a, in collaboration with @astansell. The model is used in the Infection: Modeling and Simulation module for students to learn how scientists test the way diseases spread through larger populations; it is not intended to be scientifically accurate. Changes to the program include: • Updated parameter names to No Prevention, Staying Home, and Washing Hands • Increased the speed the simulation progresses each week • Changed the susceptibility for each parameter • Changed colors to improve accessibility • Decreased the time the simulation runs for each parameter • Added code comments for clarity and to explain how the program is run • Translated to Spanish
