✏ || N O T E S ↪ | I remixed this because I really feel that Zebra is right. There are SO many people who feel that they don't matter. YOU DO. ✏ || T H E M E S S A G E ↪ | I have noticed in my time here on Scratch something sad, but true: Most of us care too much about things that don't really matter. ↪ | It's easy to get caught up in wanting desperately to be featured or curated. Sometimes even making projects specifically to be featured, because similar projects have been featured recently. You hope and hope every time you get on Scratch and look at your message count and the front page, and are severely disappointed every time. ↪ | Another common thing is to try to get Scratch Team members or other famous scratchers to follow you, and wonder why they haven't when you feel you've done something to deserve it. ↪ | But I think the biggest thing is how much people like you. Sometimes we base our self-worth and entire life on follower count, loves, and favourites. A positive comment could make your entire day, but a negative comment could derail you completely. ↪ | I have fallen into all of these traps, so I know how it feels. But I want to tell you: IT DOESN'T MATTER. ↪ | Scratch was created to Imagine, Program, and Share. Followers were meant to build community and make friends. Featured projects and the FPC program were not created to build fame, they were created to inspire you! It doesn't matter who follows you, as long as, at the end of the day, you know that you helped out or made something wonderful. ↪ | When you find yourself falling into these traps, please know this: You are wonderful just as you are. Your projects are awesome, your efforts are not wasted. And if you still doubt this, take a break. If Scratch is becoming more important than life, just wait a little bit, and come back. ↪ | I'm not saying not to celebrate, though, when things like this happen. Just make sure you remember that your worth is not dependent on that. ↪ | I hope this helps you. You matter so much ❤
