So here, at last, is my entry. Due to Christmas prep my mum forced me to do and having my laptop wiped by the school before officially selling it to me, it's a little later than I'm happy about. I suggest using turbo mode (shift+click). Otherwise it's a bit laggy due to having nearly 200 backdrops and assorted sprites with almost as many costumes. Roughly about 500 frames all up. I'm proud of myself. Speed of .15 seconds per frame, not taking into account the lag and the Turbo mode necessary to prevent it from lagging. Work out for yourself how long it goes for, or just time it. You'll want your screen brightness up at the beginning, especially in the bit just after she turns off the torch. This is because most of this is set at night, and it's hard to see the action otherwise.
Please see the comments on my profile for a full, overenthusiastic speech about how this placed. Really confused about what's happening here? It's meant to be somewhat ambiguous, unless you read the checklists in Bonus Content. Share your theories in the comments. They'll probably be better than the actual plot. I made this for a contest by @NATUREandPLANTS. Thanks to them for letting me enter. I mean, like I'm going to win with this, I have seen some of the other entries, but it was FUN. Not least having an actual due date to stop me from procrastinating. My animating skills are not fantastic and in a couple of places I could have made it smoother. Overall, though, I'm quite happy with this. This is 100% my work. The storyline was made on a purely 'This seemed like a good idea at the time' basis. Doing this chewed up a lot of battery power simply because I had to have my screen brightness up three times as far as normal in order to see what I was doing. #animation #art #all #constable-angua #contest #entry #dark #moon #magic #discworld #luggage Check out the Bonus Content sprite if you're interested about anything to do with my animating process! It's not designed to be clear to anyone but me, but still might be interesting. It has my animating checklist, and the luggage, and copy-pasted character in both assembled and exploded view. Also includes key to the code I used in the book, and my Line sketch of the luggage which is honestly the best bit in the project except for the mystic runes she draws in the sand and air.
