Instructions

Ink Bottle and Kat’s walk through the studio continued in uneventful and eerie silence until they came across a door blocked off with wooden planks and sticky ink splashed on the door. Instinctively, Kat questioned what the duo were to do at the dead end, seemingly as I.B didn’t plan to go somewhere else. And, as she had learned, I.B was never straightforward. “Open your mind, Kat! A dead end is another path for us mortals to walk on this journey, all we need to do is open it up!” And with that, I.B slung his axe off his shoulder and brutally bashed it into the wooden boards, leaving the door beneath free time open. Putting the axe back over his shoulder, he opened the door with a creak. Kat would be lying if she said she wasn’t covering her eyes and trembling. Who wouldn’t if you were stuck with some literal insane, and boy, how I.B is, and the power to kill her with a single swing of an axe and chug of an ink bottle. I.B and Kat stepped into the new room and were immediately silenced of any further noise as a pipe hit and stuck into the wall with a loud /clang!/ Kat immediately sunk to her feet, hiding her face in her hands as she heard what seemed to be I.B taking action. Peeking out from her hands, Kat could see an inky figure making growling noises, fists tensed up and in a battle stance. The figure was wearing dark grey boots, white-grey pants with patches, a light pink t-shirt, Mickey Mouse looking gloves, and a red bow tie that matched Kat’s own. What caught Kat’s eye was the figure’s head. It wasn't human, rather one of a cartoon character. It seemed to resemble a doglike creature, with black cheeks and ears. Kat was able to see that, whatever it was, was clearly terrified and Ink Bottle just kept swinging his axe. A whine was heard and Kat’s head jolted to the figure once again. The axe had struck into the ink figure’s arm, a glop of ink oozing onto the axe. Yet what was strange, was that the chunk of arm didn’t ooze back into place, instead went around as if it was still there, but invisible. Ink Bottle swung the axe again at the creature’s head, but this time Kat stepped in between the two.
