The game was wonderful when I was first introduced to it. At first I was an average newbie, but I expanded my skill levels slowly but surely. Eventually I met some of my oldest allies, @kurdviva971 and @1815699. And I met the RD legend, @eco6two. There was water, actual water that distorted music and damaged robots not knowing how to swim. The medics were kindly and nice, not killing (most of the time) and only knifing people in self-defense. There was a safe-zone, for gods sake! And the teaming system was there and made it easier to not kill robots. You could wall-jump in like a normal plat-former and camouflage yourself in a bamboo forest. There were dark times when I was teamed on. There were hackers also, but they didn't appear that often (it was a long time ago). I was then Valkyrie [Shade even earlier, credit to Dark for that], and my earliest good kill score was 20. I used the light medic gear with a 10th gen shoulder, with the toning of red. There were good times also, with memorable experiences being part of a fox army (then betraying it), creating a clone lag machine with @-Existence, fighting Dark in unofficial 1v1s, killing medics when in a dark mood. I did not know of any teams back then, I was a survivalist FFAer (unless seeing a rare teammate). Fun fact: I was never impostored! @slothsarewonderful was also present back then. I always wondered where were her limbs... and Beta's also. @-Cerulean was an unofficial enemy (who has since then fallen into unfortunate inactivity) who bombarded me with RPG shells. No-one ever cheated, because Dark was always there to instantly target them and make them rage-quit. And Spectre once called me an enemy but promptly switched it to Dark. And there were darker times than Dark (that I will not go into as of now). There were always people online. I could never get a good score without 15+ online robots. And -Mint appeared. He was rusty but cleaned up the rust and professionally destroyed everyone with the Sniper. As the era of RD declined with the announcement and sneak peek of BB, @-Fadedphoenix- introduced me to BB teams and the old era of RD alliances by the GG. And I can only reminisce about the old memories because there are none to create, as RD may as well be dead. I praise all who still play, sometimes on Scratch, sometimes on Turbowarp.
