Just a model of the Sun, The Earth, and The Moon. Fetures: Speed control Sun, Earth, and Moon Realistic Earth and Moon (you won’t notice the realistic moon) Tidal locked Moon Shading for earth and earth’s atmosphere Lunar eclipse Solar eclipse Days and years(inaccurate) History: V1.0:Relese V1.1:Lunar eclipses V1.2:Solar eclipses added and sun is now corrected to be white(because it’s the atmosphere that makes the sun yellow) V1.3:Added days and years, however they are VARY inaccurate. V1.4:Accurate time V1.5:Stay tuned! I want to add: Scale and mars The moon from earth’s view Tricks: Speed 100 shows you all the phases of the moon
Has been ported from my old account. Now I know how to use sin( ) and cos( ), witch means the Earth can spin on it’s own and the moon is here! And also, the light shading sprite is a separate sprite so it lags behind a little. The reason it’s a separate sprite is because the Earth sprite is rotating to account for that days are a thing and that’s spinning so if the light shading sprite was part of the Earth spite then it would not point at the sun like it should. The same for the Atmo shading sprite, witch shades the atmosphere and the moon light shading sprite, witch shades the moon and is part of the realistic moon update. Caveat 1: Lunar and Solar eclipses don’t occur as often as the model shows. The reason this is in the model is because this is two dimensional, no inclination or tilt in the orbit. In real life, there is some inclination of the moon’s orbit, so the Sun, Earth, and Moon can’t perfectly line up as often. Caveat 2:This is totally not to scale! GUYS CAN YOU STOP MAKING THE SUN YELLOW?
