*SPOILERS FOR A LIGHT IN THE MIST* *If you don't want spoilers, don't continue unless you have read the book already!* *A Light in the Mist is the 6th and final book in The Broken Code, and The Broken Code is the 7th series in Warriors* I just finished A Light in the Mist, and I don't want to spoil anything for the people who didn't finish yet or never started, but there were quite a lot of things that made me cry. Just a little bit about me, I don't normally cry when something sad happens in books or shows, but A Light in the Mist really brought those tears. I normally cry when a main character's of de@ th happens, especially in de@ ths where romance is involved. I'm not talking about Romeo and Juliet kind of things, I'm talking about when one of the characters dies, and the other one is still alive. Yeah... that happened in A Light in the Mist. I don't want to spoil exactly what happens, but lets just say, the BristleXRoot ship had to come to an end. I hope you're really prepared for a spoiler now, because in the next paragraph, I'll tell you what happens. Rootspring decides that when they all leave the Dark Forest and Ashfur is de@ d, he's going to leave SkyClan and go live with Bristlefrost in ThunderClan. Oh shoot, I'm beginning to cry again! Later, Ashfur is dragging an unconscious Shadowsight to the deadly water. Bristlefrost runs to stop him. Rootspring sees this and knows Bristlefrost won't survive, so he tells her to stop, but she kept on going. Bristlefrost purposely gets in the way of Ashfur and Shadowsight, and she is the one getting plunged into the water. Ashfur also falls into the water, and Bristlefrost holds him inside, not letting him escape. After Ashfur d!es, Bristlefrost knows that she has done the thing she wanted to do since she was a kit: she saved her clan. She didn't just save ThunderClan, however, she saved all the clans. Bristlefrost knows she has achieved her destiny, and lets de@ th overcome her. What's even worse was having it being mentioned over and over again. And I'm sorry to say, everyone's favorite warrior cat, Graystripe, doesn't make it through the whole book either. RIP Graystripe, who will at least get a place in StarClan, and RIP Bristlefrost, who sacrificed her life and her place in StarClan to save the clans. Both of you will have a special fountain each containing all of the readers' tears dedicated to you guys. Also Bristlefrost, your fountain will also contain Rootspring's tears.
