I also decided to change it to accepting that his Clan will probably never be the same in the eyes of those who suffered, and the birds act as his guardian angels. He's really struggling during this time, he can't even see people repairing dens without the image of Crowbite intruding in his mind, den repair becoming a trigger. Shouts of joy sounds more like pleads for help to him. Bouncestream suffers with crippling PTSD due to the events of his life, and the rebellion only worsened his symptoms. By the time he left the Clan, he couldn't tell what was really happening anymore, and was often left dissociating from reality as a result, becoming more agitated and distant from others.
