We start at 2021 because that's the current year of the Gregorian calendar. Rules: - All effects of the year change must be unique and kid-friendly (e.g. no excessive violence, blood, etc.) - Devolve the year by 1 every remix (e.g. 2000 -> 1999) - Don't devolve the year by more than 1 (e.g. 2000 -> 1990) - No blood or gore - No Creepypasta - All violence in any remix must be minimal and cartoon-ish - No bad language - No Among Us references or characters - No memes (e.g. Doge) - You must follow the Scratch Community Guidelines every remix - No decreasing/increasing the effort - No non-transparent bitmaps (e.g. an image of Sly Cooper reading the Thievius Raccoonus with a blue background) - No characters unless they're necessary for a remix (e.g. Metal Rat, Blurcules, Wood) - No Scratch Library sprites (e.g. Scratch Cat, Crab, Retro Robot) - Don't turn this project into an 'Add Yourself' project - No logos - No Scratch Library backgrounds (e.g. Neon Tunnel, Witch House, Blue Sky) - If anything used is copyrighted, you must give credit to the original owner(s) (e.g. the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly Cooper's cane, any non-fanmade Pokémon) to prevent theft (bronze rule) - Don't ruin this project (silver rule) - Don't delete anything in the instructions or notes and credits (golden rule) If you remix breaks any of the rules above, it will be rejected Changes to make to this project in a certain remix: - Remove the "START:" text on the thumbnail at 2020 - Dark orange background / light orange text at 2017 - Dark yellow background / light yellow text at 2013 - Dark green background / light green text at 2007 - Dark blue background / light blue text at 2004 - Dark purple background / light blue text at 1999 - Dark pink background / light pink text at 1994 - Add static effect with its ghost effect set to 95% and change the colors of the text and background back to red at 1989 - Make the static's ghost effect 90% and change the text and thumbnail font to Sans Serif at 1979 - Add an old film effect with its ghost effect set to 60% at 1975 - Make the static's ghost effect 85% and add very small jittering to the text at 1965 - Make the static's ghost effect 80% and make the old film effect's ghost effect 50% at 1959 - Make the whole project grayscale, slightly worsen the text effect's jittering and change the text and thumbnail font to Serif at 1950 - Slightly start pixelating the text at 1946 (pixel effect should be set to 5% upon adding it to the text) - More coming soon...
