Bright lights, or sunlight, will instantly blind most Moofwoom. They flash lights at each other if there is danger or they must communicate silently They are often feral creatures who cling to the rocky ceilings and walls of caves. Their paws are well equipped for climbing and gripping. They rarely fight or hunt. They run in terror of fast movements. Their diet consists of minerals and nutrition they receive from their environment. They hardly ever put anything into their mouth as if to eat them; if something ends up in its mouth its likely out of curiosity. They gain the nutrients through the grounds they walk over, absorbing it through their jelly like paw pads. They enjoy moist environments and will suffer in dryness. The only fights that occur are within the small groups of Moofwooms when deciding their leader. It is a large event that happens twice a year. The Moofwoom will gather around, and decide which three have the largest head mushroom. This indicates health and maturity. The three will then fight with tooth and claw, shredding each others mushrooms. The winner will rule the groups and be brought gifts of rocks and gems. When the Moofwoom's mushroom is shredded, the Moofwoom will perish or become terribly ill. Moofwoom can be harvested by larger species for their excelent taste. Their mushrooms are rarely toxic and extremely flavourful Despite the fact that they have wings, Moofwoom can not fly. They use them to break their falls from ceilings.
