Nico POV I was awoken from my peaceful slumber, a very rare thing, by a splash in the face. I bolted straight up to see Percy Jackson laughing with an empty cup of water in his hand. "What the Hades, Percy?" I growled, throwing the now slightly wet covers off. "My cabin. Five minutes. Toodles!" before I could yell or summon the dead or somehow brutally murder him, he left, slamming the door behind him. "I'M NOT COMING" I screamed through the window, turning the heads of a few early-risers playing basketball and stuff like that. Percy ran back towards the window. "You're coming or you're getting an unwanted bath. Toodles! Again!" and he ran off towards his cabin. I groaned and made my way over to my closet, ruffling through my stuff. Black, black, black, oh hey, black with a dancing skeleton, let's switch it up. When I finished changing, I opened the door and almost got punched in the face by a certain son of Apollo. He was obviously about to knock but nearly fell onto me when I opened the door. For a moment he just stood there with his fist raised. "Oh, you're awake. I was going to see if you wanted to grab breakfast since the Ares kids are still asleep." I sighed. As much as I wanted to eat, I really didn't want to be covered in toilet water. "I have to go to Percy's for something. Apparently if I don't then I'll have an 'unexpected bath.'" Will shrugged. "In that case, I'm coming because I'm bored and I don't feel like eating alone." I gratefully accepted his offer to come. I knocked on the Poseidon cabin and was surprised when Reyna opened it. "Reyna? Are't you supposed to be on the other side of the country?" "Yeah, I've missed you too." she snorted, allowing me in, but as will followed, she held her hand out. "Hold it. Who's this kid?" she turned to me. "Oh, right, that's Will. He's cool." Will gave Reyna a nervous smile, and she finally let him through. I was surprised to see the seven minus Leo, the Stoll twins, and Clarisse. "Welcome to the great game of Truth or Dare, brought to you by Perseus Jackson." Announced Percy, spreading his arms wide. "Who wanna go first?" Connor raised his hand. "Very well then, Mr. Stoll. And to be clear I mean Connor," Percy said, glancing at Travis. Connor looked around the room. I could've sworn his eyes lingered on me a bit longer than other people. Sadly, I was right. "Nico. Truth or Dare?" Will POV "Truth," said the boy besides me. Everyone (except maybe Reyna) knew better than to accept a dare from the Stolls. "What girl in the room would you most want as your girlfriend?" I felt an odd stab of some sort of undetermined feeling when he stated the question. Nico's face somehow paled beyond its normal level, which I didn't think was possible. Percy and Jason swapped nervous glances, and so did Reyna and Annabeth. Then they all exchanged those same looks with Nico. Annabeth gave Nico a sad smile and a nod. Nico still uncomfortably stared at the floor. I was completely and utterly confused. Was there some girl he liked before? Was he embarrassed to admit it? Before I realized it, Nico was gone and the door was slammed. I quickly shuffled to my feet and opened the door, running after him. I didn't see him until I noticed the door to the Hades cabin slamming shut. I knew he'd be mad at me, but I also knew he wouldn't open the door if I just knocked, so I opened the door myself to see Nico staring out the back window.
