This one is Halloween themed (ish) scene! The white whisps are supposed to be magic :] Also! Before you ask! The way i drew eyes in this piece was experimental. I might change the way i draw eyes to this but i probably wont since it'll make it harder to animate :00 - - - - - 1. light sketch - this is my first stage! I use a very light color just so that i can map out how i want the pose to look, as well as correct anatomy and proportions 2. sketch - this is a cleaner sketch! this is typically where i add the accessories in my sketches. things that might be harder to be identified (such as wings, in this case) will be sketched in a different color so that i dont forget that they're there 3. zooming in - even tho i drew the fullbody first, i wanted this scene to be more up-close and personal so i zoomed it in. I also got rid of the light sketch. 4. whisps! - here are the little magic whisps hehe 5. lineart - i set the sketch to 50% and then i go over it with lineart! the lineart color can make the whole piece look aesthetically pleasing so i try to choose a nice color for it! also eye lineart is colored differently :] 6. filler color - i do this step so that i know where the boundaries of the lineart are when i add the color! this is a layer underneath the lineart. 7. eyes - drawing the eyes! in terms of my style, they're fairly easy to draw/color ^^ 8. base color - i go back to the filler color and i fill it with either the lightest color or the most common color on the character 9. flat color - i make a separate layer clipping onto the filler color layer and draw the patterning. then i merge them together when i finish 10. background color - this stage is pretty self-explanatory 11. coloring the whisps - i went back to the whisp sketch layer and drew them in! i split it up so that half of them is behind Delta (the character here) and the other half is on top of her. i also changed the background color to be a bit darker because i felt like it needed to 12. glow - here, i duplicated the whisp layers and i colored them a bright purple. i then blurred them. by doing this, it makes it look like its glowing,, more magic-y 13. shadow + highlights - since this drawing is meant to be in the dark, i colored Delta a bit darker by using a "multiply" blending layer. I also decided that now would be a good time to add the highlights on the eyes and the horns 14. lighting - i used an "add" blending layer and started coloring. the lighting depended on where the nearest magic whisp is 15. overlay - here, i duplicated the lighting layer and colored it a deep purple, then switched the blending layer to "overlay". This gives the lighting a more purple-y feeling, which is more fitting for this scene 16. eye lighting - this wasn't exactly necessary but i wanted to try this out,, i created a new "add" layer and airbrushed some color on the eyes to make them look shinier 17. background details - i made some relatively lighter purple dashes and used motion blur on them to make it look it's passing by fast :0 18. idk what to call this ?? - using an "add" layer, i outlined the parts where parts of the drawing overlap on others (i hope this made sense but it gives the drawing some division so it doesn't look like its all blending together) 19. perspective blur - in this step, i blurred the edges of the drawing. what this does is it helps you focus more on Delta's face, plus it also gives the drawing a bit more perspective in a scene-like sense. 20. rgb shift + watermark - again, this step is pretty self explanatory :] - - - - - Art - @Pikoki-- Character - Delta (@Pikoki--) Zoom Coding - @Colorsnatch Program - Procreate Songs - to their rightful owners (look inside) - - - - - #art #artprocess #halloween #magic #scene
