CHAPTER TWO |||||~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FADE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|||| Fade walked along the snowy slope looking down at the faint scar across her chest, it had been nearly two years since the fight between the queen. Fade loved flying, she had learned how to do it a year ago. She lifted off from the slope and soared high above it. She dove down and grabbed a rabbit while she was at full speed. She lifted her head toward the sky and without even one of her scales touching the ground. She soared upward with the rabbit clenched tightly in her teeth. She landed on a little cliff near a cave where Forest Fire was dozing. She ate half of the rabbit and dropped the other half near Forest Fire. She looked out at the cloudy sky above. She saw a little bit of blue soaring high over the slopes. She squinted her eyes and saw it was a sea-wing. "What are they doing here?" She mumbled to herself as she flew up toward the sea-wing. The sea wing seemed to not notice her. she flew upwards until she got to the sea wing's height. She flew silently until she got close enough to bite the sea wing, she looked at its sleek blue scales and realized that they were about to dive. She folded in her glistening wings and dove after the blue sea wing. When they reached the ground the sea wing stretched out their arm and accidentally knocked Fade over. Fade growled at the sea wing. It was a male sea wing with stormy eyes. He glared at her. "Who are you!?" He said. "Who are you?!" She said back to him. "Well why were you following me!" He said. "Because you are in my territory!" "You're in MY territory" He yelled. Oh no, his territory? I didn't know that!, She thought. "What are you doing!?" He said. His claws inched closer to her chest where the scar was blazing bright red in the white colors of the snow. He lashed his talons at her snout. She dodged. She growled at him. The sea wing snarled back and jumped out of the way of Fade's scorching fire. "Name?" He said. "Fade, yours?" She lunged at him. "Trench" He said as he clawed her snout. "That's all you've got? " She said as she jumped into the air and soured up and up and up. Then she dropped from the sky like a falcon. She pinned him. Trench growled but couldn't get free. She burned his face. He yelped in pain. Why should I do this? He is just like me, he probably escaped the sea wings because he did something!, She thought. UGH She thought again. She glared down at him. "If you move you die!" She said. She tied him up with some ivy she had found that day. She picked him up and flew back to the cave they were using. Forest Fire was eating some fish that they had found lying around. "I found him in the sky and tied him up" She said proudly. "Why?" Said Forest Fire. "He tried to kill me!" She said back. Later that day, Fade saw something rush past her, she didn't know what it was, so she just kept on doing what she had been up to. The next day, they found a cove near the slopes and made it as close to home as they could. Fade slowly drifted off to sleep.
