This means that, due to her trauma, when she's triggered by people talking about negative emotions, she starts feeling like she's disconnected from her body, thoughts, and emotions. Her voice becomes more childlike and her eyes become glazed. So far, her 'fits' have been relatively short, only a few hours, her longest having lasted a full day.
