I took the liberty of making a literary foil for Joey, Fae. Sorry not sorry. I also had fun making fun of classic horror movie tropes bc what can I say, they're just fun to mess with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not my art style changing every time I post a new drawing zkdkdksldxkcjdk
Colin Taylor || Male, He/Him || Bi-curious grayromantic || 75 year old in a 14 year old body || Born January 16, 1946 || Capricorn ♑ || Half Demon || Quite powerful, although not without weaknesses "I mean, who would have expected I'd be the last one alive? I was the youngest, and void of all strength, speed, and agility. By golly, just look at me! I'm the kid in in the yellow raincoat, the one fated to misfortune~" Colin was born in the 1940s, a simple boy in a suburban family, living the "American Dream." His parents were quite harsh on their two children, berating and putting them down quite often. Classic case of Golden Child Syndrome; they'd only give love and affection when their children "deserved it," and took it away as soon as their children "failed." Colin's older brother, Harvey, reacted to this environment by rebelling, deciding that if he could never be enough, why even try? Colin, on the other hand, reacted just the opposite. He worked hard for his parents approval, often very harsh on himself and even a bit self destructive. He would've d13d for his parents, nay, /k1lled/ for them if he had to. On Halloween night, 1960, his brother and brother's friends dragged him into an abandoned house as it began to rain hard on their usual trick or treating route. Now in shelter of the rain, his brother came up with the bright idea to pass the time by summoning a demon. They lit a match and scorched a pentagram into the ground, then forced Colin (who was screaming he'd tell their parents about this) into the symbols and slit his hand, offering a bl00d sacrifice to Mephistopheles. Mephistopheles came, as summoned, branded Colin with a strange rune on his right wrist, and dropped the band of teens into the Underworld. There, they faced many monsters, each kid slowly dying out. Mephistopheles would pop in often, not to help them but rather to mock them (he found their situation rather entertaining). Eventually, Harvey and Colin were the only ones left. Colin had begun manifesting strange powers, and kept him and his sibling alive by using his newfound powers to k1ll monsters. He became convinced that he had been possessed by a demon, and his brothers was growing more and more wary of him. Then, one time while popping in Mephistopheles casually let slip that Colin was not possessed but rather was given powers and half demon status when he was branded. Horrified, his brother tried to k1ll him, but in self defense Colin k1lled Harvey instead. Colin spent the rest of his time in the Underworld trying to find a way home, back to his (cruddy) parents, and discovered that he can take the power and energy of those he kills. He got powerful enough to open a portal back to our world, but by then it was too late. 56 years had past, and as a now immortal being, he had no idea of it. He aquatinted himself with modern times, then returned to the Underworld. He decided to make the best of things, and use his powers to gain more power. He gave himself the alias Shadowlorde, and had become a quickly rising lord in the Underworld. Although OP, he is still not nearly one of the most powerful, although he is in no way weak either (Think of Alastor. He's super strong, but compared to Stolas, or even Charlie for that matter, his powers are practically useless. Same concept here). He's built himself a castle and often uses his young human form to trick entities into thinking he's an innocent child. Ha, innocent. He's anything but. "Life is a game. I'm just among the few who know how to play it~" As an interesting sidenote, @faeisgae, one of his powers is limb regeneration, meaning if Joey tried eating him nothing would happen XD Oh! And he covers his write hand with a glove, both to hide his branding and also to hide his hand during demon form, which becomes surrounded by holes, triggering his trypophobia and amounting to one of his biggest weaknesses.
