"Not connected? Not connected?! I literally just saw him five minutes ago before I left! How could he have left the house without telling me?" Charles said. Charles pressed the button again. "Call. Father," Charles said. The glass screen showed "Not connected" in blue letters. Charles growled and pressed the button again. "Program a command," Charles said. [ Okay, what command? ] the Vocatus asked, a British, male AI talking. "Change someone's name," Charles replied. [ Who's name would you like to change? ] "Archibald Sage." [ What would you like to change his name to? ] "Father." [ Please wait a few moments... ] The screen showed three blue dots that bounced up and down after the previous one did so. Then, a green swirl swirled around and turned into a check-mark, red, green, yellow, and blue streamers popping up around it as fireworks. As the fireworks disappeared, the AI said, [ Command complete! Archibald Sage has been changed to Father in your contacts. Thank you for your patience. ] "Yes, yes, you're welcome," Charles said. "Now, let's see if this command works..." Charles pressed the button. "Call Father." The three bouncing blue dots came up again, then a black screen with white letters that said "Camera off." "Yes," Charles said. "Father, turn your camera on." "Not now, Charles," Archie replied. "I'm trying to figure out where your labels are in your witching pantry." "Charm the pantry shelves with the blue Spacedust, Father. It makes the labels larger." Charles explained. "I did that accidentally when I first figured out the labels were small, and it worked. It's the glass bottle with the black cork. It has a label that says Spacedust - Blue Variety." Charles sighed. [ Why wasn't I smart enough to do this before? ] Charles thought, a frown on his face. [ Father was going to put my witching groceries up at some point. ] "Found it," Archie said. He did as his son said and sprinkled the Spacedust on the acacia pantry. The pantry glowed and glittered a blue, white, and silver color for a moment due to the Spacedust settling in. Then, when the color returned to normal, the labels were larger, and Archie could see what the labels said. "Did it work?" Charles asked. "Turn your camera on so I can see." Archie grabbed his Vocatus, pressing the button. "Camera, on," Archie said, and Charles could see Archie's stoic, yet gentle face. "Good, good. Now tell your Vocatus to flip the camera around," Charles instructed. Archie nodded. "Camera, flip." The camera turned around, and it was now showing the pantry and it's large, legible labels. "You did it, Father! Also, thanks for offering to find and store my witching shopping," Charles said, smiling. "You're welcome, Charles," Archie said. "Now, while I put your shopping up, tell me what you were going to tell me." Charles nodded. "Okay," Charles said, taking a deep breath as he prepared to tell Archie about what he wanted to tell him.
