The dark grayish spikes are ephemeral-looking, and have the ability to disappear (leaving spots like holes), but when visible they are sharp to the touch. Another individual being cut or pricked by the ghostly spikes as a result of coming into contact with them will suffer no physical injuries, but will feel pain from the encounter
