PRESENT DAY Hawks was scared to actually go full out on Maddy, but she had no problem with using full effort on him. He tried to pin her down with his feathers, but she was quick and evasive. Soon, Hawks had to result to close defensive tactics. He doesn't bruise easily, but he can feel them blossoming where each of Maddy's punches landed. "Jeez, you're fast!" he shouted. He blocked one punch with his wings and heard Maddy hiss in pain when she punched them. "Are you okay?" he quickly asked, dropping his guard. Maddy used this opportunity to lunge forwards him and grab Hawks in a choke-hold. "Gotcha Keigo." she said in victory. Hawks tapped her arm and she released him. "You're bleeding," he said, examining her fist. "I've had worse than a few split knuckles," She argued, pulling her hand away. She went to the sink and ran it under the water until it ran clear. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it. "Good block," she stated. Hawks brought some bandages and held his hand out for hers. "Let me wrap it," he said. She obliged and removed the now red towel and put her bleeding hand in his. "I didn't mean for you to get hurt," he explained as he wrapped it up. She shrugged, "It is what it is." After he was finished, he asked, "A minute ago, you said you've had worse. Did it have to do with training injuries?" Maddy's face went blank. "Yeah, yeah it did," she said softly. Hawks sat back and let her hand go. "You said it was torture, do you want to talk about it?" he asked softly. Maddy shook her head, "It's not important." She looked at her watch, "I got to go. I'll drop by sometime tomorrow." she says, heading for the door. Hawks watched her from behind, his gaze lingering where it shouldn't. He shook his head, gotta respect the women.
