Penlandia is a fairly small planet located close to Alpha Centauri. We haven't seen it before because the light of the star drowned it out, as well as the fact that it's quite small. We're only now able to see it in infared, which is what you're seeing here. It seems to be inhabited by some sort of warm life, which have been dubbed Penlanders. It has 5 moons, 3 or 4 of which are usually visible. The planet spins, yet we do not currently know why it's inhabitants do not spin with it. It gets warmer towards the core, but has a very cold center. This could mean that it has an icy center immune to the heat. Not much is known about this planet at the moment.
