Transit photometry is a way of detecting planets that orbit other stars by detecting the shine of stars. Every so once in awhile, the luminosity might drop down by a bit, and that is because there is a planet in front of it. This simulation is the graph that transit photemetry scientists use, and I'm just making a simulation of what it looks like.
