You see, what's happening here is Midnight's sad because she knows she'll d!e one day and can't stop it. Then, she and Sunfire meet. They get to know each other and Sunfire shows her his powers. She says how she wishes she could be immortal and Sunfire tells her he could do it- at a price. She says yes nonetheless and he casts the spell. They then bid each other farewell, their journeys taking them in different directions. A while later, Midnight feels weird. She gets in a cave where she'd be safe and then Sunfire takes control of her. She flies to a secret cave where Sunfire is in hiding and locks herself in a cage under Sunfire's control. She's then released from his control and has no idea what happened, but realizes he's evil.
