As you can see, the amount of activity drops heavily in July, which is coincidentally when school ends for most people. recently, more schools have been giving out chromebooks for their students, and they have been teaching more coding classes using Scratch. This causes a surge in the active users, since a lot more people can access scratch in their free time. when school ends, schools take back the student's chromebooks, leaving them with no way to access scratch through a computer (unless they have a personal laptop, ask their parents to use their computer, or if they use their phones). A drop in the amount of activity occurs, as seen in the chart. In conclusion, scratch is the most active during school because a lot of scratchers use their chromebooks to access scratch.
