The only difference between Neweralf and Alphabest is that Neweralf has /x/ while Alphabest has /ju/. Even though some English words require /x/, /x/ is never taught in any phonics programs. Most linguists do not classify /ju/ as a single sound but as a combination of two sounds. Although /ju/ is not necessary in an English conscript, it can be used as a shorthand letter. Plus, /ju/ is necessary to teach children learning how to read and write English.
