She can sometimes come off as rude or sassy, but she /knows/ her heart is in the right place. She is very adventurous, and doesn't like being cooped up for too long. She also /loves/ exploring. She can get very snippy with dragon-cats who make comments about it, and always aims to prove her self-worth. Physical Description | Lotus is a fluffy white cat with a gray face, ears, paws, and tail, her pattern generally resembling a lilac point Siamese. Her build is long, and her hindlegs are tall, giving her an underweight appearance, though she is actually healthy and a very strong swimmer. She has bright aqua eyes that are often narrowed and piercing. She has sharp fangs and a snakelike tongue that most often sticks out of her mouth. She wears a choker, a lengthy necklace with a pearl on it (a reminder of her mentor, Pearlesence), and a lotus on one of her cream-colored horns. On her fishlike tail, she wears many ornaments including glowing orbs, braided bands of seaweed, and more lotus flowers. Her tail accessories change almost daily. Her wings are a bright aqua that match her eyes, and due to a genetic mutation, she only has hindlegs, not forelegs. History | Lotus was born into a poor family on the east side of the Delta Tribe, an underwater village not to far off from a city. As a kit, Lotus was weak and underfed, her mutation causing her to get sick often. The healers worried that she wouldn't survive past a few moons, but with determination, hard work, and encouragement, she became the fastest kit in her tribe. After 14 moons, Lotus got apprenticed to the healer Pearlescence, whom everybody calls "Pearl." With Pearl, she learned how to use the medicines available to the Delta Tribe at the time. The two water-dragon cats became close, and Pearl helped her get over the constant teasing. She also learned which herbs were the tastiest. However, eventually Lotus got tired of staying within the boundaries of the Delta Tribe, and she knew she would get into a lot of trouble if she trespassed onto the Torrent Tribe's territory, so she instead swam over to the "Forbidden Island," where the met Ghost, a lonely cat who had dedicated faer life to helping the local ghosts. Lotus stayed on the island with Ghost and helped faer with faer ghost studies. After about two years, she went back to the Delta Tribe. Pearl was upset about the fact that Lotus had abandoned her tribe, and to Lotus her disappointment was clear. So, Lotus decided to try to make it up to her tribe by taking over most of Pearl's duties to give her time to rest. Unfortunately, while out gathering herbs, Pearl got bitten by an unknown fish, and the wound got infected. Lotus struggled to heal her mentor, and the during time when Pearl was healing Lotus had many sleepless nights. Eventually Pearl's infection got better, and she started to take over most of the duties. After that experience, the two grew closer, and Lotus was promoted to a full healer.
