To become a part of the Spell Casters, you needed to have a certain marking, patterns or a scene of nature. Cats with scenes of nature had powers that had something to do with that part of nature, for example if a cat had a sun marking, they would have powers that had something to do with the sun. If a cat had a pattern, they would have a power that would have to do something with an event in nature. For example, if a cat had a line, they might have the power over the solar eclipse or the red moon. Moon had power of the purple moon, an important event to the Spell Casters. She befriended a cat named Night Sky (Night) and Moon started developing a crush on her. On the Purple Moon every trainy that was thought to be ready to become a witcher was tested. Purple Moon passed, but Night did not, and it was later said that Night had a rare condition where even though she had a marking, she did not have enough energy to use all her powers. She was kicked out of the Spell Caster group and had a spell cast on her where she could not talk about the Spell Casters. Moon found Night and talked with her in the bushes. They agreed to meet every day. They started becoming closer and closer, and soon Moon told Night about her feelings for her. Night said that she liked Moon back, and they became girlfriends. (It was illegal to be in a relationship with someone who did not have powers, so Moon and Night were being secretive) One night Moon and Night were meeting up when Moon's Sister Moth eavesdropped. When Moon found her, she told her to not tell the leader, but Moth told anyway. The leader exiled Moon, and Moon immediately went to Night who said that Moon could stay with her. Moon told Night that she wanted revenge on the spell casters, and Night said that maybe they would think up an idea the next day, as it was the Purple Moon. Moon had a dream where one of the Starcats told her to go to the Mystic Pool. The next morning Moon told Night, and Night agreed to go with her. That night, Moon went to the Mystic Pool, where the Starcats told her to make her own group, and name it the Star Weaver group. Moon and Night did, and recruited other cats with powers. They became mates and when they found some abandoned kits, they adopted them. Then there was a harsh, cold winter. The Spell Casters were barely surviving, and were forced to turn to the Star Weavers for help. Moon agreed on one condition. That they abandoned the rules about the cats with powers meeting up with powerless cats and to stop ruthlessly exiling half-powered cats. The Spell Caster leader refused, but some cats joined the Star Weavers, including Moth. Moth asked for Moon to forgive her, and said that she never knew that the leader would exile her. Moon forgave her, and the Star Weavers became one of the main places for both cats who had powers and half-powered cats to learn. This was kinda inspired by the song
