KEEP YOUR VOLUME HIGH ˚₊· sayori ♡ art process ·₊˚ ------------------------------------♥ so i redesigned my mascot sayori (again) this time, i'm really proud of the outcome of her new design and the way i made the art piece :) for now use this as a ref sheet bc i probably won't get a ref out also, i'm rlly sorry for being gone for a few days, i'm rlly busy nowadays unfortunately, this might be the last thing i post this month bc i have a lot planned both irl and online anyways here's a lil process on how i make these art pieces (space to proceed and click to zoom in) ------------------------------------♥ process 1. rough/anatomy sketch, basically how i want the piece to look. i make it messy so i can change it later on. 2. i add the rest of the details for the drawing in a similar way i did the anatomy. 3. lowered the opacity of the sketch and do the lineart on a new layer but only on the body. 4. hid the sketch and lineart and did the face on a new layer. 5. using the same process, i do it for the note thing. 6. now i combine the note and the face and clean up any unnecessary lines. 7. same as previous step but with the body. 8. added a new layer, selected the area, hit inverse, then contract, and then filled it with the base color. i also got rid of part of it because there is a glass element in the drawing 9. added the color to the drawing on a clipped layer. also, i tried shading the eyes a bit. 10. selected protect alpha on the lineart layer and colored it all purple. this makes it more pleasing in my opinion. 11. using the sketch as a reference, i made a new layer and created the glasses with the ellipse tool. 12. underneath that, i used white and the soft light blend to make the shiny part of her glasses. 13. i hide both glasses layers and go to the lineart layer and add the color to the lineart. 14. applied hair shine with fade in/out pen 15. set the blend to add 16. filtered it with gaussian blur and lowered the opacity 17-23. added shine to eyes and tail using airbrush and blur. 24. combine the glasses and boom the drawings done 25. used the same way for making the base color for the outline except i use expand and set it to 3. 26. WOW LOOK AT THAT i combined the two 27. background 28, added gradient 29. gave it a border 30. combined it with the drawing 31. duplicated it and made it white 32. moved it and put it behind 33. added stars 34 watermark and DONE! ------------------------------------♥ ok this is way too long credits are below
