Instructions

This is an example, or a demonstration, of how clones are destroyed (deleted) when the project is stopped, either by clicking the red stop sign above the project area, or using the "stop all" code block. The fact that clones are destroyed, and thereby disappear, can be used in your project presentation. This example emulates the behavior you might want in an avatar creator project, or a dress up game. You want the user to be able to right-click the stage and select "save as image", without all the menus and stuff being visible. In this example, the buttons are clones, whereas the cat and dress are not. The dress button simply changes to the next costume in the Dress sprite. The camera button stops the project ("stop all" block). All code by me (@kriblo). The front facing cat and buttons are by me. The dresses were altered from the library by me to fit the Scratch Cat. If I use clones, I often use only clones and hide the non-clone, just so it doesn't look weird if the project is stopped (or I just don't want it to show for some reason). For instance, in my project "Example: Simple Clone Score", if I used the non-clone to show one of the digits, and the project was stopped, only the non-clone would be visible: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/568368717/ This example was actually made in response to a comment I had in that example: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/568368717/#comments-224471695
