(Pls mind my spelling errorz, @Pickle_Powder had to point this out.) Music: OwlCity Today marks the 20th anniversary of the infamous destruction of the twin towers in New York City. For those not familiar, here's an overview. On the faithful day of September 11th, 2001, aka 9/11/01, the twin towers where struck with 2 planes, both had been what's known as "hijacking", or taking over. The planes themselves killed a total of 2,768 people, and has caused total destruction. Unfortanully, the towers collapsed about 2 hours after the incident, around 10AM. The twin towers, which had been the tallest building in america, had just been destroyed, killing over 2,900 people, and causing damage to other buildings around the towers. It was a total mess. No one knew this, and the disaster would affect many people. Who would be this evil and naïve to take out so many people with this plan? Well, this where the infamous "Al-Qaeda" comes into play. Al-Qaeda is what we call terrorists, people who deliberately play out crimes like this. The team was started in 1988, and was held out by someone...who I will not name. He managed to avoid arrest, along with some of the other members, but faithfully, most people who went along with the plan were arrested and imprisioned. For a decade, he avoided capture, but on May 2nd, 2011, nearly a decade after the incident, he, who was living out with a family was caught. Police took out the g__s and....you can except what happened. (Warning: If your curios about this guy, be wary, the story is graphic, so graphic that im extremely worried scratch will blam me.) And you'd think the terrible story of these monsters would end, right? Unfortanlly, no. A new leader was made, and he is currently a fugitive. The police haven't found him, and are continuing, hoping to prevent something as disastrously as this from happening again. On the 10th anniversary of the attack (months after the police incident) the memorial for the disaster was created, and is still up, to onor the 2,900+ people who lost their lives that day, whether on the plane or in the towers, or were trying to stop it. Today is now the 20th anniversary of this. One fugitive, 2,900+ lost, and a heart for this disaster today. That was honestly heart breaking to say. I hope they find that guy and end the monster's group. Knowing it's still around is still pulling some strings. But at least we can try and recover from the incident. Thank you, all the people who lost their lives that day trying to put out the towers, and sorry to all the families who had to grieve from the disaster. I hope something like this doesn't happen. But before we leave, quick thing to say: The monsters who held out this plan where Muslims, and because of this, Muslims who had no relation in this plan are being unfairly treated- which honestly is stupid. Just because someone had bad intentions doesn't mean EVERYONE related to them is also bad.
