Instructions

Yesterday, I visited my favorite pond at sunset. I realized I wanted to capture its beauty in a Scratch project. The water and trees are actual images of the pond, and the sky is generated with pen. Click to generate a new sunset. Move your mouse for a subtle parallax. NEW! Hover your mouse in the top of the screen to toggle randomly-generated clouds. Otherwise, watch and relax!

Description

How I did this: - I took a short video of the pond. - I used GIF Brewery to convert the video into a GIF, and to crop the video to just the pond. I uploaded GIF into Scratch and wrote a script to switch between costumes. - I took one of the images of the whole pond and cut out the trees. Then I cut the trees into 3 pieces and added parallax scripting. - I used pen to create the sunset, because I wanted to make it look like a painting. I chose colors from my original video, calculated a gradient in between, and added randomness. - I pulled in ceebee's gust sprite to add to the nighttime vibes. - I made the clouds by stamping pizzzapi's cloud costumes == Credits == "gust" sprite from @ceebee's project "evening breeze" "cloud" costumes from @pizzzapi's project "Sky Painter" Font: "Golden Hopes" by Mans Greback on dafont.com Music: "Suppose It Is" by Podington Bear.
