Please read through the entire description if you want to audition. ══════════════ ∘◦ ✾ ◦∘ ═══════════════ Rules: ➳ Read the Rules ➳ Follow the Rules ➳ Please try to have a good microphone, especially if you're going to audition for a major character! ➳ Make sure that you'll have enough time to record all of your lines for each chapter, and that you won't leave scratch soon. ➳ Please don't audition for a character who's VA has already been selected. ➳ If you want to audition for a character with an unusual accent, and you don't already know how to do their accent, please try to practice that accent before auditioning! ^^; ➳ No guilt tripping. ➳ Do NOT insult another contestant, or yourself for that matter. You will be disqualified. ➳ If you're homophobic (or Transphobic, or Aphobic, or just any type of Queerphobic at all), Please don't audition. Almost every character in Light (and later books) is LGBTQ+ in some way, shape, or form, and I'd prefer if homophobes weren't integrated into the story. (Yes, this includes if you respect but don't support.) Scratch is supposed to be an accepting place for all genders, races, sexualities, cultures, etc. and I want to be able to represent as many minorities as I can in Light, and that extends to the VAs. ➳ You can audition for more than one character, but it's not likely that you'll get both roles, as I want the cast to be diverse. (if you do audition for more than one character, just let me know which one you'd prefer in case you're tied with another contestant for one or more roles.) ══════════════ ∘◦ ✾ ◦∘ ═══════════════ Tips! ➳ Show lots of Emotion!! Emotion is wonderful! :DD ➳ Try to imagine yourself /as/ the character. I know I didn't provide much on what's happening to them in the moment they say the lines (because spoilers), but it shouldn't be that hard ;3 ➳ (Especially for Lark/Dolphin) Make sure that you have a wider range if you're auditioning for one of the younger characters, because their voices change the most over the story :3 ➳ A c c e n t s!! ➳ (For future reference) When there are Trans characters available, I'd prefer if some trans VAs auditioned for them!
