Hurricane Ida is now the 6th costliest tropical cyclone on record It was also a deadly storm after it hit the Northeast and Louisiana hard This storm is also the strongest Louisiana landfall of all time tied with Laura and the 1856 last island hurricane and is also the second most intense hurricane to make landfall there only behind Hurricane Katrina witch it made landfall the same day as Katrina.
