Space for horn Right arrow and Left Arrow B for Bell CFNR 1570 started life as CNW 4424 in 1976 in the late 80s early 90s CFNR started leasing it and many other GP15-1s from CIT. For a couple years it worked at Mare Island in Vallejo so it got the MIRS name on it's long hood. When the CFNR and other shortlines owned by Rail America were bought CFNR bought 113 from CIT along with 109 and 112 and were repainted and renumbered to 1568, 1569, and 1570. Unfortunately 1568 and 1569 were scrapped in 2019 so 1570 is the last CFNR owned GP15-1 and G&W has plans to scrap it soon. Right now it is living it's last days on the Tracy line, From Tracy to Los Banos. It has a awesome Leslie RS3L.
