The White Legion (Smolenskoy: Biely Liehijon) is a political organization in Smolensk that takes after the Fascist ideals of Legionnary Raetia. First formed in 1937 during the Smolenskoy Civil War, the legionnaires started out as a minor faction that fought against the Communist revolutionaries before turning against the General Assembly. Peace was eventually made in 1939 when the General Assembly allowed them to form their own political party, which they named the White Legion. In 1954, the White Legion under the leadership of Hierasimovič marched on Smolenskgorod and attempted a coup d'etat by storming the assembly and taking its members hostage, but the coup was put down by the Black Guard. After this, the party was dissolved and its leaders were exiled, but there are many believers of the White Legion that still cause problems for the General Assembly.
