◯ so, idk who remembers Austin, but I'm updating his story. adding to it. cause i was laying in bed last night and i thought of how to continue his story. the original story is here https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/389548041/ , and i suggest reading that before this, so you know what's going on. once your done with that, here's a things from that story i need you to forget: Austin being transparent (he's not so much a ghost as he is a zombie now) meaning also forget the body under the new tree. (there is a new tree, but Austin's body is not beneath it.) Austin not being able to leave the grove of trees after he died (he can leave the grove, but he often chooses not to) the tree's whispering sounding like words. (the tree's can't talk) uh i think that's it actually. on to the story! though quick warning the story might be scary to some people! ◤ ◥ it had been almost two years sense Austin had died. or, he had thought he had died at the time, he wasn't so sure now. he felt pretty dead, but he still needed to eat and drink- kind of. through the year, he had learned a lot about the tree and it's relation to him. he still didn't know why this had happened to him, or how to fix it, but he knew somethings. for one, his tree- the one that appeared after his 'death'- and him are directly linked. if he breaks off a branch, he feels it. if the tree is running low on water or other nutrients, so is he. he needs to take care of the tree to take care of himself. the seasons also had a very obvious affect on him. in spring, he feels refreshed and peaceful, though he does tend to have more leaves and petals on him in spring. in summer, he feels energized and daring, but always thirsty, because of the tree. he also has a lot of large leaves and petals on him in summer. in fall he feels tired and anxious, and constantly double checks on the tree. most of his petals and leaves also fall off, which is a relief. winter is his least favorite season. he used to love playing in the snow but he hates it now. it's so incredibly cold, despite his fur, and he needs to always be caring for the tree. but Austin doesn't always stay by the tree. he has gone back into the town, when the tree seems healthy enough. his family and friends are still mourning his 'death,' though his name barley ever pops up in the news anymore. and he can't let anyone see him, or they scream and think he's a ghost. even his friends, though they don't seem to scream quite as loud as the others. maybe it's just him. speaking of ghosts, because of his adventures into town and his disappearance, he has become the local spirit. at first it was fine, gossiping and camera's everywhere he had been spotted, but they found his grove. Austin's friends, Maxwell and Jessie, had found his grove first. he had tried to talk to them, but they had ran. and that was that for about a week, until word got out and suddenly every weekend people were coming to Austin's grove with those ghost boards and spirit monitors and such. one time someone even came with an axe and tried to cut down his trees. Austin wants help and wants to talk to these people, but he cannot risk them hurting his tree. he could die or.. actually he doesn't know, but he doesn't want to. so he chases the people away, sometimes trying to talk to them first. Austin has not resorted to violence when it comes to defending his tree. yet. ◣ ◢ i hope you enjoyed :D ◯
