❁ About SDC ❁ SDC is a camp that runs for two weeks and is held every other month. You can join as a leader or a camper, and everyone has fun designing in SDC with friendly competition from other cabins. Each session is hosted by @Milkysplash and @Lily-Lavender, who alternate sharing leader applications and camper signups. Each session also has a theme - this session's theme is seasons! We also usually prepare 6 cabins but always end up with 3 or 4 XD ❁ How to apply ❁ To apply, remix this project and answer the questions by October 1st 2021 (yes, you have until the start of the next session to do this) Leaders who have lead at least 3 times won't have to apply. ❁ Tips for your application ❁ 1. Put effort into it - we will be judging based on designs AND answer quality, so pull some effort into the design of your application 2. Answer the questions given to the best of your ability as possible. For the about me, don't just say a few things about yourself - say your hobbies, likes, dislikes and so much more. 3. The designs you give as examples should be your very best designs! Design is something we'll be judging you on. 4. Don't use the backgrounds provided. Put some EFFORT into it ❁ FAQ ❁ When does this close? October 1st 2021, because I think we need more planning time. What design program should I use? Anything! :) How active will I need to be? You need to be active before, during and after camp as we'll be working on the memory book and planning camp. What if I'm not active? Then you risk being replaced *sob* Will my chances be affected if I haven't attended SDC before? Or any form of Scratch Camp? Yes, partially. I prefer new leaders to be co-leaders for their first session, but if you show enough experience you might be a leader. If you haven't attended any form of scratch camp, it is more than likely your application will be degraded due to your inexperience What timezone does SDC run on? SDC runs on BST or GMT (in this case GMT) because Milky and Lily both live in the UK, and it is easier for them if camp runs on GMT/BST. Dailies and Daily Themes will change either at 06:00 on the day if it's Lily, or 21:00 the night before if it's Milky What's a promo? A promo is a short promotion that you post onto your main account. It should say something like "Join SDC!" or "Why you should join SDC" written on it somewhere, along with a quick about of the camp and link to camper signups ❁ Cabins ❁ Lily and I will each be leading two of the cabins - so yes, there is a possibility of two cos per cabin *if* the numbers allow.
