I found myself back at the manor, knocking on its doors like so many times before. A wave of regret washed over me, followed by currents of "what ifs?" Suddenly, this was a bad idea. But I needed to know. As usual, Chrissy opened the door, face covered in cookie crumbs. She frowned, and chewed her cookie more angrily. "I have to see Ness," I said. She narrowed her eyes, but let me in. "It's very important!" I reassured her, climbing up the stairs. She shrugged, not caring. She just wanted me out of the forest as a whole. =+ I came to the door on the third floor, head flooded with what to say. 'You said to come to you if I needed anything, and now I do.' 'Ever since Lin--' No. Not that way. 'I need to know what Lin did wrong.' I sighed, took a deep breath, and opened the door to what Chrissy liked to call "the room where it happens". Of course, there was Ness, seemingly working on important stuff. I cleared my throat. "Ness..? Do you have a minute?" She jumped, obviously startled, then put on a smile. "Yeah. What is it, Lance?" I sighed, bracing for what I had to say. "I have this friend.."
