I knew right away I wanted a rondent/mammal creature for Dulcie, to sport her earth-connection. A rabbit is easily frightened, but can be comfortable after constant exposure to a specific person. Dulcie mirrors the rabbit in this way, shying away from ponies and freezing when someone tries to talk to her. A rabbit can also be fierce when in danger, because it has the physical capacity to do so. Dulce de Leche, the elder sister to Caramel Kick, is a larger pony with lots of raw power, but she chooses not to use her strength unless she is in a very dire situation. So, yeah..
