I decided to try out a painting style for the first one, (couldn't be bothered to give the same treatment to the second.) and it took FOREVER. And what I've learned from doing this is that I need to practice backgrounds because I suck at them. NOW FOR THE ENTRIES THEMSELVES: "CottageCore" Name: Declan Reese Gender: male Age: 20-21 Romantic Orientation: (unknown atm) Pronouns: he/they Species: Beastmen/Human mix (half goat half human) Personality: Calm and collected, he doesn't like to cause unnecessary squabble, and either avoids such disputes or tries to talk it out. He hates bugs of any kind, and tends to through a fit when seeing one. He's an ambivert, and likes to hang out with others that aren't too quiet, but not too loud either. He has goat horns hidden underneath his fluffy hair and hat. Backstory: He was raised by his parents in a suburban area with mainly humans. it was often quiet where he lived, too quiet. Not that he minded it too much tho. At school he was often asked about his goat horns and eyes, so he grew his hair out a bit to hide them, too tired to answer their questions about him being a mix species. While growing up, he also took up an interest in writing. After finishing school and now planning to move out, he found a paper talking about a town. (Wowo wonder what the town issss-) Arriving to the town by train to start a new life, he met Patton, a photographer that works in the small newspaper and printing business in town, "PaperBack Letters." As of now, he works there now as a writer for the business alongside Patton and her coworker Jamie. "MushroomCore" Name: Penny Porcini Gender: female Age: 22-24 Romantic Orientation: Pan Pronouns: She/her Species: Mystic (Fairy) Personality: She gives off a friendly aura to anyone who meets her. Helpful and hardworking, It's no wonder how she happens to work in the town's infirmary. As a fairy, she specializes in medicine from a natural source (herbs, weird plants-), and healing magic. (because why not ✨) She's also well known in town because of her work, and is recognizable from her mushroom hat. Though she is a naturally cheery person (fairy), she recognizes when it's time to be serious, for example, her work. Backstory: Growing up in a village of other fairies, as well as being well versed with other mystics, It surprised her to find out about other species in the world (beastman and humans) therefore hard for to adjust to Hometown when she arrived. (Her village was pretty sheltered, and they didn't really talk about the other species much.) Though she has gotten used to it over the span of 3 years, It's still hard for her to adjust to humans, since they can't use magic at all. (acck sorry for the not so great backstories, but hopefully it gives a general idea of it all.)
