Story: Yellowfang is in the fiery hollow with Fireheart, telling him that she will die, but then tells him to stop crying and sighs that her life has been a long and tiresome one ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ time goes backwards to when she was an apprentice and wakes up from a dream. The starclan cat shows her a flash of what will happen later on, and she has a vision of her kit wreathed in darkness. Later on she discovers how important her family is to her, and decides to help find Raggedpelt's father. They go to Twolegplace but get captured by rouges. They ask the rouges if they knew Featherstorm (Raggedpelt's mother)
