Instructions

nuuu why did you give me 100 followers >:0. you all are the best ---☆--- A lot of people have been asking for my art process recently, and after numerous failed attempts to create a tutorial, here it is. hope you enjoy! ---☆--- 1 - draw a basic sketch, no details yet. I usually do it in a light-ish color. 2 - lower the opacity to about 75 or 50 3 - add a new layer. make a refined sketch. this sketch has face details and al the F L O O F. if your drawing a person, add in hair and facial feature + clothes. 4 - hide the first sketch. 5 - lower the opacity of the second sketch. 6 - draw the lineart on a separate layer. 7 - hide the sketch layer. 8 - make a layer under the lineart. I use the magic wand tool (on the lineart layer) and select outside of the lineart, and then invert it. move back to the color layer, and now you cant color out side the lineart! 9 - lock the color layer and add patterns 10 - make a new layer and turn down the brightness of any color. this color will be used to shade. (I usually use a dark blue to dark pink, but other colors can be used.) color on the opposite side of your light source 11 - switch the layer setting to hard light. turn down the opacity if you want less dramatic shading 12 - I make a new layer and change it to overlay, and using a light yellow color all the places closest to the light source. 13 - I make a new layer and set it to glow. using the same light yellow, I add some highlights/eye details 14 - I just added some tears 15 - I selected the lineart with the magic wand, and made a new layer. I set the new layer glow and add some details. 16 - I begin to add in the background with a green hill. 17 - I add some shading. 18 - I draw in some extra details. 19 - (oof I forgot some steps) basically I shaded the castle and lake + I added in the sky. this is the finished image! ---Credits--- Program: Autodesk Sketchbook OC: mine Z*0m code: @Colorsnatch --------------- :)
