If you freeze a Boom Boom with the Ice Flower or Penguin Suit and hold the Boom Boom while frozen for too long, he'll break free while in you're hands and then this happens. I think Mario enters a state where the game thinks he's still holding something because he never let go of Boom Boom, but since he's holding nothing, the game also somehow thinks he's not holding anything, so he can't let go of this so-called "nothing". This seems small but it prevents you from picking up anything else. The only way to fix this glitch is to either go back to the Editor, quit the stage, or lose a life. Also, this only happens with Boom Boom. So...Luigibonus! Here's something you probably need to fix!
