Instructions

Yeee btw guys the reason I'm on a lot rn is so I can post stuff I want to post and get it out of my unshared projects etc before my massive hiatus. I am not going on hiatus until my Silk MAP that can be viewed here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/559595216/ is completed. Now, ik I was dumb back then and made Hawks' backstory similar to Nimbus' but now I'm going to change it and..... when I say change I really mean CHANGE Read on to see it :> (Also GORE AND ABUSE warning lol) The dragonet opened her eyes for the first time. The only small things she could remember from this moment was the exhilaration and determination as she hammered the eggshell with one tiny claw, and now she was free of her cold, hard prison. She stretched out her russet-coloured wings to their full extent, revelling the feeling of the sun shining through its webbing. She glanced around with her coaly eyes. There were six other dragons in the cave - One massive berry red sky wing with dark orange eyes brooding in a corner, and a skinny, lithe sand wing with a sharp tail and snarling eyes, and the four others were other dragons like the dragonet, all hybrids. "Ugh, these disgusting dragonets," The sky wing spoke up, her eyes narrowing. The sand wing glared at her with his dark eyes, then turned to the dragonet. "Get up, Hawk!" he snarled, swinging one claw at Hawk. Hawk let out a yelp as his claw nicked her flank and she scuttled over to her mother, who looked at her with something like sympathy in her eyes, but then shoved Hawk towards the terrifying sand wing. "Yeeba! Layaway! Scarieee!!" Hawk snarled in high-pitch at the sand wing. The sand wing smirked, and then shoved her forward with one wing. Hawk had no choice but to follow. All her four brothers and sisters followed slowly. All of them had raw wounds scraped across their scales and they had eyes that were red-rimmed with exhaustion. Hawk let out a whimper, and the sand wing purposely tripped her up with one claw. Hawk landed on the sand in a face-plant, and let out a pained yowl. "Shut up you miserable maggot!" the sand wing snarled, pulling Hawk to her feet and pushing her harshly forward. They walked for quite a while. Hawk lost track of the time. All she could do was trudge forward, eyes staring at the endless sand before her turning into rocky, tough ground. At last the sand wing stopped and swung around. His forked tongue flicked out of his mouth as he glared at all his dragonets like a vengeful snake. "It's all because of Jade that I have you all. I was forced to do it. To 'breed' dragonets that would not disobey orders like 'common dragons'. But I'll show her. I'll show her we don't need dragonets like this," he hissed, then beckoned one of Hawk's brothers forward. Hawk's brother took a shaky step forward, and looked down over the edge. Hawk and the sand wing and her siblings were on a very tall cliff. Hawk shuddered, her eyes already twitching. Then, with one swift movement Hawk's father smashed his barb into Hawk's brother, sending him hurtling over the edge. Hawk let out a scream of terror, and she could hear her brother letting out a shriek as he tried to stay airborne, flapping his wings wildly but never succeeding in time... Hawk's brother and sisters looked equally horrified, and Hawk began to back away. She'd only been alive for a few hours, but instinctively she knew she had to run. Hawk turned around and broke into a run. She could hear her father tossing her last brother over the edge. Hawk's breaths came in heavy pants and her barb lashed as she stumbled down the rocky path and into the desert, her talons sinking in with each clumsy bound. Nothing mattered. All that mattered was staying away from her demon of a father. All Hawk could see was endless sand, stretching before her. Her father would have finished with her sisters by now, and would most likely be looking for her. That single thought sent terror spiralling through Hawk's heart. The sun beat down on her scales, paining her with every laboured step. She could feel the gash her father had given her some hours before stinging with the grit rubbing into it, causing dark blood to seep from it. Hawk's vision blurred and she staggered. She was tired, so tired, maybe she could rest right here.... But she would most likely die if she just lay in the open air, no, she'd have to keep going. Hawk could faintly hear the cries of massive desert vultures, but she was too exhausted to think of trying to catch one... The heat was now overwhelming, and Hawk could feel unconsciousness creeping at the edges of her vision, dark and always there. Her right leg buckled and she collapsed onto the sand, eyelids fluttering. She couldn't die! She was so young, her life couldn't end now! If she fell unconscious now, she'd surely be pecked to death in her sleep by the vultures! But the unconsciousness was too strong for a little dragonet like her, and slowly, her eyelids (continued in notes and credits)

Description

fluttered closed, and she let out a big, weary sigh. Just before she sank into darkness, she felt the wind of the desert vulture's thudding wingbeats, and, as the unconsciousness flooded over her like a tidal wave of velvety darkness, she felt the sensation of being picked up by strong, reassuring talons, and the sound of a dragon, a distant thudding roar, and then silence. Hawk blearily opened her eyes. Where was she? She blinked a little harder, and tried to sit up, but she flumped back down, still too exhausted to do much other than flop around like a feeble camel. She opened her eyes a little wider, and studied her surroundings. She seemed to be in some sort of room, and her head was propped up by some raggedy, dirt-caked pillows. She could hear the thud of talonsteps and the laughter of young dragonets, like her, playing tag, maybe, or hide and seek. Hawk finally gathered the strength to stand up, and she wobbled around the room, inspecting her surroundings. Just then, the door creaked open and a vibrant red head snaked itself around the doorframe to study her. "You're awake, are you, Hawk?" Hawk's mother yawned, trying to sound careless but looking secretly relieved. "I thought I'd lost you there." "Yimba ooooooogaf," Hawk replied, feeling a little on-edge. This was the dragon that stood by while her father just led her and her siblings to that high cliff like baby camels for slaughter! The cheek of her to look RELIEVED that Hawk was alive! No thanks to her!! Hawk let out a warbly little growl, and stomped past her mother, who looked a little hurt, and stopped short. The dragonets who were racing up and down the hallways paused, and slowly, cautiously, stalked over to her. There was a tall, gangly orange male sky wing dragonet with sharp red eyes and a menacing scowl, and two other sky wing dragonets, both a mix of dark red and dark orange, with similar scowls. They stalked up to Hawk first, prodding her wings, sniffing at her barb until at last the tallest one let out a sharp commanding 'GERHER!' and the two smaller dragonets pounced on Hawk, shoving her head onto the ground and spitting rude sounding words at her. "ENOUGH!!" Hawk's mother slashed the dragonets away from Hawk, her tail lashing and eyes sparking dangerously. "Stay away, you three, and find someone your own species to pick on!" She spread her wings and made her fire-is-coming hissing noise low in her throat. The dragonets scrambled away, making little growly yowls, and shooting small puffs of contemptuous smoke in Hawks' general direction. Hawk puffed out her sand wing ruff, making it stand upwards in ragged spikes, and let out a squeaky roar after them, arching her tail over her head. She could already see a gang of vicious-looking sand wing dragonets, led by a burly, powerful muscled male approaching her, eyes-as-black-as-night glinting. Hawk growled low in her throat, and stretched out her wings, spiking out her ruff. She knew she had to be tough to survive here. She had to be strong, unforgiving and cold. She knew she could do it. And these sand wings were perfect to practice it on. She began to stalk over to the sand wings, eyes flashing and wings flared. Yes, she could do it. She could be strong. Phew that sure took a long time to write! Hope you get the general gist of the rest of the story from that.
